Christian responsibility...

'The Lord said to Cain, "where is your brother Abel?" "I don't know," he replied.
--Gen. 4:9
Reflection...In 1973 the Supreme Court was asked the same question posed to Cain and gave the same answer. Unable to admit that unborn children are our brothers and sisters, the Supreme Court said, "We need not resolve the difficult question of when human life begins...the judiciary...is not competent to speculate as to the answer." That's the same as "I don't know."
Prayer...Lord, may all of us recognize and love our brothers and sisters, born and unborn.

Be converted...

"To me, the little ones are all those infants who, already conceived, are to be put to death purposely while still in the wombs of their mothers."

40 days of Lent...'40 Days for Life Campaign'

The forty days of Lent coincides with the '40 Days for Life Campaign.' Thus, let us offer prayer, penance and fasting in reparation to Jesus and Mary for the abomination of abortion...and let us pray that this genocide will end soon in our nation and across the globe.

To begin the season of Lent...

We have heretofore allowed for much on the Blessed Mother. This is because she is the one who by grace is our perfect example of obedience to the will of Christ...and thus a secure path to holiness.
Now, as we begin the Lenten season--in prayer, penance and fasting, let us look to our Mother and her example of perfect obedience to the will of God.

Let us ponder these things...but mostly, let us pray...
"Know also this, that in the last days, shall come dangerous times. Men shall be lovers of themselves, covetous, haughty, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, ungrateful, wicked, without affection, without peace, slanderers, incontinent, unmerciful, without kindness, traitors, stubborn, puffed up, and lovers of pleasure more than God: Having an appearance in deed of godliness, but denying the power thereof...ever learning, and never attaining to the knowledge of the truth."

Conforming through Mary..

If we are blowing in the wind...how can we bear good fruit? If we are not silent, how do we hear our conscience speaking? We cannot choose a culture of life over the culture of death unless we have a clear understanding of Truth. We can find the Truth if we seek our Mother in heaven. She is our refuge and our strength...like us in all things but sin. She calls us to Christ...listen, her voice is very soft...

"All our perfection consists in being conformed, united and consecrated to Jesus Christ; and therefore the most perfect of all devotions is, without any doubt, that which the most perfectly conforms, unites and consecrates us to Jesus Christ. Now, Mary being the most conformed of all creatures to Jesus Christ, it follows that of all devotions, that which most consecrates and conforms the soul to Our Lord is devotion to His holy Mother, and that the more a soul is consecrated to Mary, the more it is consecrated to Jesus."
--St. Louis de Montfort, True Devotion to the Blessed Virgin Mary
