On unity through obedience...

"I appeal to you, brethren, to take note of those who create dissensions and difficulties, in opposition to the doctrine which you have been taught; avoid them. For such persons do not serve our Lord Christ, but their own appetites, and by fair and flattering words they deceive the hearts of the simple-minded. For while your obedience is known to all, so that I rejoice over you, I would have you wise as to what is good and guileless as to what is evil; then the God of peace will soon crush Satan under your feet. The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you.
Now to him who is able to strengthen you according to my gospel and the preaching of Jesus Christ, according to the revelation of the mystery which was kept secret for long ages but is now disclosed and through the prophetic writings is made known to all nations, according to the command of the eternal God, to bring about the obedience of faith--to the only wise God be glory for evermore through Jesus Christ!
Amen."

Heaven has nothing greater...

Food that Endures...

Recall Christ's words: "Do not labor for the food that perishes, but for that which endures unto life everlasting which the Son of Man will give" (John, 6:27). Only a Catholic priest, by the power of the Holy Spirit, can give us the Bread "which endures unto life everlasting," by changing bread and wine into the Body and Blood of Christ--the Sacred Host, the Holy Eucharist, the Blessed Sacrament. The bread and wine at Mass, "By the words of Christ and the invocation of the Holy Spirit, become Christ's Body and Blood" (Catechism of the Catholic Church, #1333).
Behind the high altar of the Benedictine Church of Ottobeuren in Swabia, Germany, there is a painting representing Christ, whose countenance radiates heavenly calm and divine majesty. On one side of him is Luther and on the other Zwingli. Beneath the picture is written: "Christ says, this is my Body; Luther says, this will become my body; Zwingli says, this represents my body."
Which of the three is correct: Jesus Christ, Martin Luther, or Huldreich Zwingli?

To my Protestant brothers and sisters, I would encourage historical research of the writings of Luther and Calvin in particular...you will find that they contain the doctrine of the Eucharist, and a hierarchal Church authority---found today unscathed in the only Church founded by Our Lord, the Catholic Church. The modern and post-modern distortions and disorder (over 38,000 Protestant denomination worldwide) have effectively removed these truths from the consciousness of Protestantism. From that research I exhort you to read and study in prayer the early Church fathers--I suggest the 3 Volume set by Jurgen. If you seek the Way, the Truth, and the Life--have courage to do so---this road will lead you home to the Mystical Body of Christ--His Church, the Catholic Church.

You will be tested...

You Will be Tested...March 1, 1980

"In the desert Jesus was tempted.
In this desert which I am leading you, you too will be tested by the fire of innumerable temptations and afflictions, and your faithfulness and confidence will be put to a great test.
My Adversary has been given a period of time in which to tempt you. Thus he will set snares for you in all sorts of ways with pride, with lust, with doubts, with discouragement, with curiosity. You will be sifted like wheat and many will be allured by his dangerous deceits.
Follow Jesus in ever resisting his seductions, above all be on the watch because today there are many false christs and false prophets, who are seducing many souls and bringing them to perdition.
Do not be discouraged, my dear sons, I am at your side to point out to you the snares of my Adversary and to help you overcome his seductions. Thus I am strengthening you with the word of God, which was the light that, during her life, guided your heavenly mother.
In the desert, as was Jesus, you too will be prepared for the mission which you must carry out.
For this, your hearts must become purer, you must feel hunger and thirst for the word of God, you must pray and suffer in order to say, with your brother Jesus, upon my Immaculate Heart: 'Father, your will alone be done. You have taken delight in neither holocausts nor sacrifices; but you have prepared a body for me. O God, I come today to do your will.'"

An urgent message...

In 1984, just before retiring at a venerable age, the diocesan Bishop of Niigata, Bishop John Shojiro Ito, in consultation with the Holy See, wrote a pastoral letter in which he recognized at being authentically of the Mother of God, the extraordinary series of events that had taken place from 1973-1981 in a little lay convent within his diocese, at Akita, Japan. Cardinal Ratzinger, now Pope Benedict XVI, in June 1988, approved the Akita events as "reliable and worthy of belief." In fact the Philippine ambassador to the Vatican, in 1998 spoke to Cardinal Ratzinger about Akita and the Cardinal "personally confirmed to me that these messages of Fatima and Akita are essentially the same." Hence in Akita we are dealing with a Church approved intervention of the Blessed Virgin Mary, as sure in this respect as Lourdes, La Salette, or Fatima.
Only a few Catholics know of Our Lady of Akita but the message, like that of Fatima, is a specific warning of worldwide chastisement. The chastisement threatened is truly terrible--far worse than the possibility of annihilation of several nations prophesied at Fatima.
The first message received by Sister Agnes Katsuko Sasagawa on June 6, 1973, was a call for prayer and sacrifice for the glory of the Father and salvation of souls. The second message, August 3, 1973, was for prayer, penance and courageous sacrifices to soften the Father's anger.
The third message on October 13, 1973, the actual anniversary of the final visions and miracle of Fatima is as follows:
"As I told you, if men do not repent and better themselves, the Father will inflict a terrible punishment on all humanity. It will be a punishment greater than the deluge, such as one will never have seen before. Fire will fall from the sky and will wipe out a great part of humanity, the good as well as the bad, sparing neither priests nor faithful. The survivors will find themselves so desolate that they will envy the dead. The only arms which will remain for you will be the Rosary and the Sign left by my Son. Each day, recite the prayers of the Rosary. With the Rosary, pray for the Pope, the bishops and the priests. The work of the devil will infiltrate even into the Church in such a way that one will see cardinals opposing cardinals, and bishops against other bishops. The priests who venerate me will be scorned and opposed by their Confreres. The Church and altars will be vandalized. The Church will be full of those who accept compromises and the demon will press many priests and consecrated souls to leave the service of the Lord.
Th demon will rage especially against souls consecrated to God. The thought of the loss of so many souls is the cause of my sadness. If sins increase in number and gravity, there will no longer be pardon for them."
This impending chastisement can be averted if enough people pray the Rosary daily and do penance which Our Lady requested at Fatima, in 1917,
Akita Prayer
Most Sacred Hear of Jesus, truly present in the Holy Eucharist, I consecrate my body and soul to be entirely one with Thy Heart, being sacrificed at every instant on all the altars of the world and giving praise to the Father pleading for the coming of His Kingdom. Please receive this humble offering of myself. Use me as Thou wilt for the glory of the Father and the salvation of souls. Most Holy Mother of God, never let me be separated from Thine Divine Son. Please defend me and protect me as Thy special child. Amen.
